Great Meeting with Georgia Department of Labor Commissioner Mark ButlerToday the Development Authority of Columbia County hosted Georgia Department of Labor Commissioner Mark Butler in Columbia County.  Commissioner Butler visited our team to learn about growth in Columbia County and the needs of our expanding companies.  We started our day talking about some the initiatives the Development Authority is supporting the Regional Workforce Study and TAG-Ed’s Summer internship program and a county windshield tour featuring the industrial growth surrounding Horizon South Industrial Park.  Our afternoon ended with a tour of Quad Graphics by Beth Pence, HR Manager.  I would like to say a special thank you to Ginger Carrington for initiating the Commissioner’s visit and to Beth Pence for hosting our tour.  Commissioner Butler’s vision for Georgia and the Department of Labor will help keep Georgia as the #1 place for business.  Thank you!
