Columbia County Growth

If you live in or around Columbia County, GA you may have noticed that our community is growing.  What you may not realize is just how fast we are growing.  According to US Census data (2010-2014), Columbia County is the 29th Fastest Growing County in the United States. During this time period, we have grown 12.3 %.  Over the past 15 years since the 2000 Census, Columbia County has grown by 57.8%.  This equates to 51,976 new residents.  With population growth of this nature, new opportunities begin to arise.  Columbia County has seen its share of new growth in the retail sector as well as from our existing businesses, large and small.  With the growth at Fort Gordon, we anticipate more growth.  The new projections estimate nearly 15,000 new residents moving to the Greater Augusta Region – many will be calling Columbia County home.  Where do you think this continued growth will center?  Based on our experiences, Grovetown and Evans will continue to draw new residents and business opportunities.  Check out this video for more insight: Augusta CEO interview with Robbie Bennett
