Multi-mission, multi-service, unconditionally essential: Tasked with leading-edge support services that include cyber operations, communication and information technology and global intelligence, Fort Eisenhower plays a critical and expanding role in America’s security and future as a global power.

 

Major Missions:

  • Recently designated home of U.S. Army Cyber Command and the Cyber Center of Excellence, responsible for network operations and defense of all Army networks, including cyber support of full-spectrum operations.
  • The Armed Forces’ largest communication and information technology training center. Mission encompasses training for 24 military occupation specialties (MOS), training for military satellite operations for all Services as well as Joint Services training that draws international officers from 50 countries around the globe.
  • Permanent host of the National Security Agency/Central Security Service-Georgia, one of only three major Joint Regional Services providing global operational intelligence.
  • Home of the 7th Signal Command, responsible for the integration, security and defense of the Army LandWarNet within the continental U.S.
  • Home to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center, a major regional medical and training center, and host to the Army’s only dental laboratory, the U.S. Army Dental Laboratory.
  • Future home of the Georgia National Guard’s Regional Readiness Center.

 

Economic Impact:

The area’s largest employer, Fort Eisenhower expends more than $2.7 billion annually in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) from an annual budget of $818 million, while providing human resources that strengthen our quality of life and the effectiveness of our workforce. Expected to rise by 4,000 with the Cyber Center, the Fort Eisenhower population currently includes an on-post population of approximately 26,776 military, family members, and civilians, with an off-post population of over 77,680 military and civilian family members and retirees.
